One of the ways we can all do our part is by following instructions for recycling and garbage disposal.
At our vacation rental, we have implemented a few guidelines to make it easy for guests to properly dispose of waste while still having an enjoyable and stress-free vacation. Here are a few tips to follow during your stay:
1. Separate Your Garbage and Recycling
In our rental, we have separate bins for garbage and recycling. It's important to note that not all recyclable materials can go into one bin. Be sure to read the labels on the bins and separate items like plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and cardboard boxes from non-recyclable waste.
2. Flatten Your Cardboard Boxes
If you have any cardboard boxes, please flatten them before putting them in the recycling bin. This will help save space and make it easier for our cleaning crew to empty the bins.
3. Do Not Leave Garbage Outside
Leaving garbage outside can attract animals and insects, which can lead to bigger problems. Please dispose of all waste properly in the provided bins and do not leave it outside the rental.
4. Use the Garbage Disposal Sparingly
While we do have a garbage disposal in the kitchen sink, it is important to note that certain foods should not be put down the drain. These include items like eggshells, banana peels, and coffee grounds. Instead, opt for composting or throwing the waste in the garbage bin.
